One mailbox, measured. Most of it belongs to a handful of senders.

01 Grouping

By sender, not by date.

Mail apps sort by date, so ten years of newsletters hide in plain sight: a few every day, never enough to notice. Pretty Inbox tallies your whole mailbox by sender and sorts the list by weight.

The culprits float to the top immediately. Select a sender, and you can trash, archive, or unsubscribe from everything they ever sent you in one action.

02 Local

Your mail never leaves your Mac.

Pretty Inbox talks directly to your mail server over IMAP, from your machine and nowhere else. There is no cloud in between, no AI reading your mail, and no telemetry. This page has no tracking scripts either, which is why there is no cookie banner.

It also cannot send mail. There is no compose function at all — nothing to send on your behalf, ever.

03 Trash

Nothing is ever deleted.

Cleaning up never destroys anything. Trash moves messages to your mailbox's Trash folder, the same one your mail app uses; Archive moves them to your archive folder. There is no permanent-delete function. Anything in Trash sits there until you empty it yourself, and can be moved back at any time.

Cautious by design: one account at a time, chosen from a dropdown, each mailbox cleaned separately.

FAQ
Which mail providers work with it?

Gmail, Outlook, and any standard IMAP mailbox: Fastmail, GMX, Posteo, mailbox.org, iCloud, your own server. If your mail app can reach it, Pretty Inbox can too.

How do I connect a Gmail account?

Sign in with Google when adding the account; Pretty Inbox requests read and move permissions only. Alternatively, enable IMAP in Gmail's settings and use an app password.

What happens to the mail I clean up?

It moves to your mailbox's Trash folder on the server. Nothing is deleted. Your provider keeps it there (Gmail: 30 days by default) until you empty the Trash yourself, and you can restore any of it in the meantime.

Is it a subscription?

No. Pretty Inbox is a one-time purchase. You buy it once, and it is yours.
